A Look at 80-Ball Bingo

A Look at 80-Ball Bingo
When most people play bingo, they expect to be playing 90-ball or 75-ball bingo. After all, these are the most commonly played versions of bingo throughout the world. Interestingly enough though, there is a new version of the bingo game that’s making its way into bingo parlors in different areas of the world. This version is called 80-ball bingo, and if you’re interested in learning more about this game, then read on!

What is 80-Ball Bingo?

If you haven’t figured it out from the name, 80-ball bingo involves eighty balls that are numbered 1-80. While most people choose to stick with the more traditional 90-ball and 75-ball games, there are some websites and bingo parlors that are offering 80-ball bingo as a third alternative. Along with games like jackpot bingo, 80-ball bingo is just another game that adds variety to bingo as a whole.

Basics of 80-Ball Bingo

The first thing you should understand about 80-ball bingo is that the game uses a different card than what’s normally seen. 80-ball bingo has a 4 X 4 card and there are several ways to get BINGO on this card. Here are the ways you can win in 80-ball bingo:

Single Line: You might think that 80-ball bingo wouldn’t include the single line as a way to win since the card is smaller. However, the single line is a way to win in 80-ball bingo and your line can be vertical, horizontal, or even diagonal.

Four Corners:  Another common method of winning in bingo that has made its way to the 80-ball version of the game is covering four corners.

Pattern: Much like 75-ball bingo where players can win by making a pattern, 80-ball players can make a pattern to win depending on the card they’re using.

Coverall/Full House: The coverall (75-ball bingo)/full house (90-ball bingo) rule is the same deal that you’ll see in other bingo games. Top prizes in 80-ball bingo are normally awarded to the person who can cover every space on their 4 X 4 card.

Will 80-Ball Bingo became more Common?

As of now, 80-ball bingo is just an offshoot of traditional bingo games. It’s just something different to play as opposed to 75-ball or 90-ball bingo. That’s why it is difficult to say whether or not we will be seeing the eighty ball version become more ingrained into the bingo world. All that is known right now is that 80-ball bingo is extremely fun to play and it adds variety to the bingo world.
