A
75-Ball Bingo - There are 75 numbers which can be called in this type of online bingo.
90-Ball Bingo - This is the traditional version of Bingo where 90 numbers are called.
Admission Packet - lists the minimum number of cards necessary to be bought in order to be admitted into a Bingo hall (3-6 cards for each game).

After Game – This is played at the conclusion of a regular game.

Auto-purchase – An automatic purchase of Bingo cards for players at the beginning of new games.

B

Basket Bingo – Basket prizes are awarded to players in this version of Bingo.

Bingo Board – All called Bingo numbers appear on this board.

Bingo Books – Multiple Bingo cards which are bound together and used at each new game of a Bingo session.

Bingo Card – A card for playing Bingo (with 25 spaces, 1 is bland the rest are numbered)


Bingo Marker – Marks the numbers called on a Bingo card.


Bingo Side Games – Non-Bingo games in online Bingo rooms to add variety for players.

Blackout - A pattern where the entire Bingo card must be covered in order to win.

Bonanza Bingo - A progressive coverall Bingo jackpot usually played as the 13th game of the session.


Buzzword Bingo – An exciting Bingo game where words replace numbers.

Breakopen - A multi-play Bingo card.

Buy-in – To buy Bingo cards before you game.

Caller - The person who calls out the Bingo numbers drawn.

Cash-In-prize – The Bingo prize is a cash payout (collected from cash paid in).

Catch-up – Automatic marking of the numbers called on the player's Bingo card.

Chat Room – An online tool allowing for real-time chat exchange between Bingo players.

Coverall – A pattern where Bingo players must cover the entire card in order to win.

D

Dauber - The Bingo dauber is an ink-filled pen with a foam tip used for marking called numbers.

Early Bird Game - a Bingo game that starts earlier than usual.


F


Face – A single Bingo card.

Flimsy - A thin Bingo card costing $1 or $2 and paying more than a regular game.

Four Corners – A Bingo pattern requiring the numbers in the card’s corners to be covered in order to win.

Free Space - the center square in a Bingo card which serves as a Joker. Players get it free every game and it counts towards the winning pattern.

Game Board – This is the display board above players’ Bingo cards which shows the balls currently in play.
Game Room - Several online Bingo sites divide their players into game rooms.
G.T.I.  - An electronic dauber system used to play multiple Bingo packs at the same time (1 per player and a rental fee is charged).

H

Hardway Bingo – A Bingo card in a straight line, without any free space.

Hard Card – This is a Bingo card printed on heavy cardboard material, allowing for numbers to be covered as they are called out.

House – A gambling establishment such as a Bingo Hall.


I

Instant Bingo - A break-open ticket containing the letters B I N G O, Bingo numbers, Bingo card faces and no other symbols.

Jackpot – In Bingo this is a mega-payout awarded for achieving a difficult outcome – like a Blackout.

L

Lucky Jar (Cookie Jar) – the cash prize for hitting Bingo on the lucky number on a Bingo card.

M

Main Stage Bingo - The main event – which draws the most attention - of a Bingo session.

Minimum Buy-in - The minimum amount a player must spend to be eligible for Bingo prizes.

Moonlight Bingo – A Bingo session commencing late at night.

Money Ball - A number is drawn prior to the game and if a player hits it on Bingo, winnings double.

O

On – A player is said to be On if his/her Bingo cards are missing only 1 number.

Pattern – On Bingo cards this is the shape that must be covered in order to win – usually a straight line.

Parti - Abbreviation for Participation Bingo where the prize depends on the number of players.

Postage Stamp Pattern – A Bingo pattern requiring matching 4 numbers in a 2-by-2 grid in any corner.

Prize Bingo – A Bingo game played for a set prize (vouchers or cash money).

Progressive Jackpot – A Bingo jackpot that gets ‘progressively’ larger until it is won.

Q

Quickie - when numbers are called quickly.

R

Rainbow Pack -
Bingo players who allowed to game for 3 or 4 prize values at the same time.

Reno NightWhen Bingo Halls are used for casino games like Blackjack and Roulette.

RNG - Random Number Generator (a software program guaranteeing random results in Bingo).

Series - The number of unique faces that a Bingo set will contain.

Six-pack/Nine-pack – These are either six or nine numbers in a block on one Bingo card.
Speed Bingo - when numbers are called quickly in a regular game and you can bingo in 3 numbers.

Speed Game – A quickly-called Bingo coverall (1 card is sold at a time).                                         
Split Pot - A Bingo game where the winner splits the pot with the Bingo Hall.
T

Table Board Bingo
- similar to lottery games, players win different prizes by completing specified patterns.

Texas Blackout – A Bingo variation where a first number is called – either even or odd – and the even/odd numbers will be Jokers and be covered.  

T.E.D. – An electronic Bingo dauber system for playing multiple packs simultaneously (Rental fees required and only 1 per player).

W

Wait – A Bingo player requires only 1 number to complete a pattern and win the game.

Wild Number – This is played in double Bingo leading to triple Bingo. If 28 is drawn, all numbers ending in 8 should be covered.
