2+2 and Mason Malmuth are Out of Line
If I had not read this myself I might have thought someone was toying with me. The truth be told 2+2 Poker Forums, one of the most popular forums among poker players, has completely lost their minds. Apparently the forum and it's posters are giving away too much information that allegedly can also be found in books published by 2+2 authors. According to Mason Malmuth authors that are published by 2+2 are being hurt by the informative posts that are then posted as stickys making them easy for the readers to find.
What kind of sense does that make?
In a recent post to readers of the forum Malmuth suggests to his moderators that the posts no longer have stickys and be buried amongst the tons of other posts for readers to find if they can. This effectively defeats the purpose of having a forum to begin with. In my opinion this is nothing less than an insult to every person that has a 2+2 account. I have a library of poker books that I continually build up as I see books that are published. I also have a number of my own accounts with forums that I believe deliver excellent poker content. The two seem to co-exist just fine and has never stopped me from purchasing a poker book despite my years of experience playing the game. This is extremely disappointing and my hope is that Mason Malmuth and the publishers of 2+2 reverse this ridiculous decision.
It is NOT good for the game or for their readers!
