High Stakes Robbery on EPT
Imagine sitting in EPT minding your own business when all of the sudden you are asked to leave the poker tournament and whisked away by security. Well that is exactly what happened to players on the European Poker Tour in Berlin, Germany. Once the tournament had played down to the last twenty four players they were all asked to leave the room.
During that time the Grand Hyatt Hotel was being robbed of some 6 masked gunmen of what has been reported of as much as $1.5 million dollars. The gunmen were alleged to have been brandishing grenades in addition to automatic weapons. No one was hurt and play resumed four hours after the incident took place.
