WSOP All-Star Game?

I happen to be a Twitter user and I noticed that the World Series of Poker is considering an all-star event in this years WSOP. That would be very interesting indeed. This is only an idea at this point as no official decision has been made. My guess is that they are still tossing around the idea along with whom and what qualifies as an all-star.

Obviously the top echelon players like Cunningham, Ivey, Hellmuth, Dwan and several others would likely be shoe-ins for this particular format. The other names are up for grabs. I suspect it is going to depend on the criteria they set. I also wonder how online poker players are going to fit into the mix. You certainly cannot overlook them. Any way you mix it someone is going to be disappointed. So, we will see how this one pans out.
