Family Fun Poker #1
I swear.Lately, I promise you, it’s been my favorite way to play poker. Since I’ve been in Michigan, I’ve done it three times, and I’m sure I’ll do it more. You can play with robots, people across the country, region, or even in the very same restaurant. That’s right: Buzztime’s Texas Hold’em is my new addiction.
If there is one thing I love more than poker, it’s got to be chicken wings. I could eat wings all day, every day. Especially if they’re boneless! So, obviously, that opens me up to be addicted to Buffalo Wild Wings – and I am!
Not only is the food great, but I am loving the chance to play against family members who may not be old enough to come with me to the casinos or APL tournaments. According to its website, Buzztime admits that they truly try to keep friends and family connected with their interactive restaurant games – and I think it works! My cousin, Clayton, is 14 so he can’t gamble with me – but by going to BWW, he can try and beat me whenever he wants! (And, for the record, he stomped me the other day until I got a Straight, on the River, while All-In and got my money back.)
The nice thing about Buzztime is everybody is given the opportunity to keep track of their points, etc, no matter what restaurant they’re at simply by setting up a free account at Buzztime.com. This also opens you up to participate in various contests that they may be offering. The only downside to this is you don’t really know if a tournament or contest is going on unless you regularly log on to Buzztime to find out for sure. However, if you’re a regular restaurant go-er like me, it’s really not that big of a deal.
Having been around since 1985, I hope Buzztime stays around for another 20+ years. I got four years before Clayton can gamble with me legally – and he needs the practice!
