In something that has become both a heart-warming and strange gaming story, Robin Hood 702 (Las Vegas area code) has been winning money from rich casinos and giving it to the poor. The way Robin Hood 702 works is that he takes video submissions from those in need, and selects the people he will play for. This anonymous gambling saint then gives all of his winnings to people who need it the most. Interestingly enough, he still refuses to reveal his identity and take credit for the donations.

After spending a few days playing casino games in Las Vegas, Mitch Gilbert was waiting in the airport for his flight home. During the wait, he found two envelopes from Caesars Palace, which he didn’t open until arriving home. Much to his surprise, Gilbert found $10,000 in winnings when he opened the envelopes. But rather than keep the money, which he could’ve easily gotten away with, Gilbert chose to call the airport and do everything he could to find the money’s rightful owner. Eventually, Gilbert did find the person who misplaced the $10k, and wired them the money.

More specifically, Greenstein gives to Children’s Inc., which he started doing as a way to show his own children that it’s important to give to less fortunate people.

Kevin Blackwood donates World Series of Blackjack Winnings 

Pro blackjack player Kevin Blackwood has achieved what every blackjack player dreams of since he’s made lots of money through card counting and writing books. And he’s not afraid to give some of this money away since Blackwood once donated the $12,500 he earned in the World Series of Blackjack to charity. In addition to this, the famous author held a celebrity blackjack tournament where all of the proceeds went towards charity. Unfortunately, casinos could care less about how many charitable contributions Blackwood makes since he’s been thrown out of casinos hundreds of times for counting cards.

While this story doesn’t pertain to casinos per say, it’s still worth mentioning because it pertains to gambling in general. As for the story, an American church in Columbus, Georgia was shocked to find a winning lottery ticket worth $80,000 in their collection plate. Now it’s not totally uncommon for lottery winners to put a ticket in the offering plate, but it is extremely rare for a ticket of this size to be donated. Those who worked for the church believe that the anonymous donator wasn’t even a member of the church.
