Playing Multiple Variants of Live-Dealer Casino Baccarat

There’s much to be said about Live-Dealer gaming. This popular online gaming attraction has caught on in recent times and seems set to grow into the most popular gaming option at online casinos. Live-dealer games merge real-time Las Vegas card and table gaming action in an innovative gaming portal, online. Baccarat remains one of the most popular online card games and players are literally scrambling to get in on the action with real dealers, not random number generators.

Gaming Realism and Multi-Variant Baccarat Casino Games

The demand for live-dealer games has grown immeasurably in recent time. The skepticism with which online casino games are viewed is largely responsible for the 180° turn in gaming provision. Now online casinos – at least the topnotch casinos which can afford such innovative technology – are providing a range of world-class games, not least of which is the high-roller’s favourite – baccarat. Real casino dealers are working from safe & secure gaming locations to deliver a service par excellence. It’s baccarat the way it was intended to be enjoyed: slick, suave, sophisticate and with panache.

Gaming Realism Trumps RNGs and Innovative Animation

The good news for players seeking a realistic Las Vegas baccarat experience is that this is all possible without leaving home. Real-time gaming with live-streaming video brings the baccarat experience to life. It’s all above board and you get to experience it in real time. Many of the world’s finest casino gaming operators allow you to play online baccarat in live dealer casino format in a few easy steps.

More about Casino Live-Dealer Baccarat

The good news is that there is plenty of variety when it comes to Live-Dealer Baccarat gaming. This game and the good cheer that it brings is generated by computer software. Your very own webcam is your technological gateway to the exciting gaming action. With your cam you can play your games in real time, interact with the casino dealer and other players during the games and actually feel as if you’re there in the thick of it. While many games may feel like they’re simulations, this type of action goes above and beyond.

The Fascination with Live-Dealer Baccarat Gaming

Baccarat is the most distinguished of the card games. This is due in no small part to its air of elitism, or perhaps the affinity that high rollers have to this game. The good news is that this high-class game is available to anyone and everyone – at the click of a few buttons. The most famous variant is Punto Banco, which is in effect – Cuban-style baccarat. If we shift our attentions across the Atlantic, to France, a variation called Chemin de Fer is enjoyed. In the United States, you’re likely to be confronted with American baccarat. These gaming variants are all conjured up based on local gaming preferences; they’re thus unique to the milieu in which they are found.

Baccarat Gaming Rules make 9 the Object of the Game

Of course, regardless of the variant you’re playing, the goal is the same – 9. And it’s not just any old 9 that makes it, it’s also as close to 9 when both the banker and the players are taken into account. Baccarat is unique among all the card games because unlike Blackjack where going bust is a very real (all too often possibility), in baccarat you cannot go bust. The goal is to thus make a wager on either the player or the banker and get closest to 9 in the process. All wagers are placed on the baccarat table in one/more of the three rectangles. These bets include:

  • The Player’s Hand
  • The Banker’s Hand
  • A Tie Hand

There are ‘minimum and maximum’ limits for the tables and players can place wagers until the croupier says – ‘No More Bets.’ For online casino players, the live-dealer option affords you the real possibility of hearing these words being spoken. Four cards are dealt face up. The 1st and 3rd cards are dealt to the Player, the 2nd and 4th to the Banker. Then the totals are tallied. An important rule is the following:

If the Player's first two cards total 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or even 5, and the Banker sports a point value of 7 or less, the Player gets dealt a 3rd card. The Banker may/may not receive a 3rd card depending on a series of factors.

Now it’s off to the actual baccarat gaming. The closest hand to 9 is the automatic winner. All face cards are worth 0, as are 10s. Aces are worth 1 point. Other cards assume their nominal values. A K +8 = 8; a 9 + J = 9 and a 8 +7 = 15 (-10 = 5). A hand value of 9 from 2 cards is called a natural.  If the Player and the Banker hit equal-value hands, a Tie ensues. The winner of the next hand after the Tie wins massive. Banker’s bets pay out 2 times the original bet – 5% commission. A Tie bet pays out 8 times the original bet and a Player’s bet pays out 2:1.
