During June & July of 2011 the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will showcase a glittering array of 58 events comprising the WSOP 2011 championship. Stars will gather, but only one will shine brightest.
 
Poker is enjoying its finest hour at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, in fabulous Las Vegas, This stellar casino paradise is playing host to the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) championship and hundreds of poker players are in attendance.

Winning that coveted WSOP gold bracelet is all the rage and players are lining up to get their shot at poker glory come July 7th 2011. That gaming aficionados, fundis, reporters, journalists and television networks are showcasing this super casino event is testament to its popularity in the gambling world.

Who will be the next WSOP Champion? This is a question we’ll just have to wait to find out about.

As it stands at the WSOP Tournament 2011

On Monday 6th June Event #10 kicks into high gear. This is the No-Limit Hold’em/Six-Handed contest with a $1,500 buy-in. The 6th June marks the beginning of this exciting 3-day poker event and scores of players are lining up to chomp at the bit.

Also on June 6th, players will get a chance to compete in the 11th Event of the contest. It’s the Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship. This casino contest also requires three days to come to completion and it costs some $10,000 to buy into it. The good news is that with that kind of money, there’s plenty of cash up for grabs.

Beginning on Thursday 9th June is the 16th Event of the contest. This is a 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship - No-Limit – event.  This exciting 3-day event also costs some $10,000 to buy in. Players are especially excited about this one because it promises to be highly competitive and richly rewarding.

On Monday the 13th June an exciting 3 day poker event kicks off. It’s the 23rd event of the tournament and it’s known as the 8 Game Mix. The following games will be played: Limit Hold'em, Seven Card Razz, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo, Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Stud, No-Limit Hold'em, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball and Pot-Limit Omaha among others.

Between the 18th and the 24th June, Events 33 thru 42 take place. The former is a Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship. This game consistently draws tremendous interest from poker player and the WSOP version is going to make it plenty more exciting. At 17h00, the 42nd Event takes place. It’s otherwise known as the Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. While the  buy-in is set high at mighty $10,000, players are lining up for this one at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino.

Pre-registrations are available for all of the future events listed on the WSOP schedule for the 2011 championship.

July Heralds the Dawning of the Poker Champions

Event 55 is the Poker Player’s Championship. It’s a mega-$50,000 buy-in contest. The good news is that it takes place over 5 days at the casino. Players will get to enjoy these fine poker games: Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Razz, No-Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha.

By the time the final event kicks into gear – the 58th Event, it’s time for the No-Limit Hold’em Championship. The buy-in here is set at $10k and there are big money prizes waiting to be won.

Who is likely to win?

It’s all way up there but Jake Cody and Robert Mizrachi and Gus Hansen are great players. Or maybe one of these lads will walk away a winner - McLean Karr, Amir Lehavot, Jarred Solomon or Jason DeWitt. This is one contest that’s going to come down to the wire!
