Circus Circus, which opened in 1968, is one of the longest running casinos in Las Vegas. It became the flagship casino for Circus Circus Enterprises, which later became Mandalay Resort Group and is now part of MGM Mirage.

Circus Circus is, of course, a circus-themed hotel-casino. In addition to its 3,774 rooms and 101,000 square feet casino, it also boasts the largest permanent big top in the world.

You can find free circus acts on a regular basis in most hours of the day.

If you have kids, this is definitely the place for you. Circus Circus offers arcades, swimming pools, and pizza restaurants. The Adventuredome, a huge pink-glass dome behind the hotel, offers a roller coaster, water flume ride, bumper cars, a motion simulator ride and even wandering clowns to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy the casino.

For adults, Circus Circus offers all of the best table games, such as Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and even Casino War. They also have special circus-themed slot machines that are unique to Circus Circus. The casino has a total of 2,000 slot machines, 80 table games and a sports book. Bets minimum for most table games usually start at $5 and up.

There is always a poker game going on and even on the busiest night you will find a seat within 30 minutes. The quality of the players varies quite considerably. There are some good local and regular players and then there are the tourists who have never played before. Most of the rookies play at the Stud tables while the good players play Omaha and Texas Hold'em.
