Casino Royale Resort
5 Best Casinos
Editor's Review
In the very heart of the Las Vegas strip, a pleasant one and a half walk from the convention center lies what may be the best deal for your buck in the city center. “You step out and Vegas life is right in front of your eyes” said a recent guest to the hotel. You won’t find the most luxurious executive suites the city has to offer at this location, but it certainly could not be regarded as just another middle-of-the-road spot.
This is the ideal hotel for the younger crowd. You won’t find many people over 35 at the Royale and the rooms mostly house suitcases and toothbrushes as the young couples are primarily out or celebrating or gambling at the casino. It is not your typical budget lodging, for the rooms are still spacious and very clean and the service is five-star. One recent guest described her previous experiences at other hotels, supposedly of more prestigious rank, where she arrived in the morning and had to wait until the afternoon to check into a room. The Royale, she says, welcomed her at 9 a.m. and by 9:30 she was in her room after it was cleaned.
All of the basics are here for you with a genuine effort from the hotel staff to make your stay pleasant, but more importantly, enjoyable and fun. None of the frills of the mega resorts of the city, but good and wholesome fun and an inviting environment. A surprising level of comfort for such a location and for the prices is one of the clear advantages. Even though the rooms are only a few steps from the casino, the guests will not suffer from the noise of the party.
By the end of your stay you will undoubtedly make many new friends. Guests are almost pulled out of their rooms by the lure of the good times at the casino and the hotel’s lobby and restaurant. Food service is available either at the restaurant or to your room into the hours of the night and early morning.
The hotel lies across the street from the Mirage casino and between Harrah’s and the Venetian casino, but still retains its own unique character. With cheap tables and great gambling rules on their tables, the casino could confidently be termed "old school Vegas" and arouse some nostalgia even in James Bond , its most famous fictitious guest. You can find the good times you remember from your fraternity house days or from that foreign hostel at the Royale, and find the flare of the city when you step out to the street.
