In a city of lights, glamour, kitsch, excess and overkill, it is a very difficult task to introduce something new.  Every hotel and resort has what seems to be a bottomless pit of investors’ money to construct a larger, fancier, or more real waterfall, lobby and dinning area, casino, or VIP sweet.  It is a difficult task for a hotel to separate itself from the rest and reach a status where it is “that hotel, and then the rest of the city”  Las Vegas undoubtedly offers a great share of  very admirable competition in the face of any hotel that wishes to achieve such a revered status.  

The dominating façade of the Wynn Hotel in its popular picture over the Las Vegas skyline passes any preliminary consideration in the race to achieving uniqueness.  While towering trees and other greens conceal much of its frame to the far-away onlooker, the exciting mix of this wildlife, rowdily existing and hugging the refined gem inside them is a curious enough spectacle to prompt a visit inside.      

Steve Wynn’s vision for perfection has been realized after 5 years of meticulous construction.  The dedication for excellence can be seen from the most bombastic five-story waterfall to the fine European quality linens offered in the rooms.  Classic original works of art follow the visitor throughout the hotel, be it to the hair salon or later on in the evening, to the nightclub.  Wynn also dedicated himself to offer top of the line entertainment technology and the flat screens in the guest rooms certainly give all visitors the executive experience.  All these attributes, while undoubtedly impressive, would still not suffice to bring a balanced review to declare the Wynn Hotel and Casino a ‘one of its kind’ facility.  It is no secret that Vegas is filled with some of the most luxurious and lavish lodging in the world.  The chief distinguishing factor of the Wynn’s setting is its offering of morning to night comfort and ease-the complete living experience.

This is an aspect too often overlooked or not properly evaluated by critics.  The Wynn experience is just that.  From the moment you enter the lobby and hand over your bags to the hotel staff your pampering begins and you are embraced by the hotel’s care for what can be called the Wynn Hotel “experience”.   Both vacation time and typical life goes on simultaneously with the greatest of care and attention by five years of the thought and effort of Steve Wynn and architects who dreamed up the total experience.

Children under 12 stay for free.  Babysitting and child care is available for the family vacationing.  Apart from 18 world cuisines and a world-renowned grand chef, banquet facilities and conference rooms are available for larger gatherings.  High speed internet roams every inch of the hotel’s interior while Franco Dragone's Cirque du Soleil is a familiar guest to the hotel’s 2,000-seat domed theatre.  It is impossible to find a soundless moment in this 42 story creation.  You can come close to one by taking advantage of the room’s hot tub, or be urged socially and head down to the hotel’s spa and treatment rooms.  

When a genuine effort is made to insure not just luring the guest and his wallet to the premise, but caring for him or her for every minute of their stay, it cannot be easily ignored.  The Wynn experience allows each guest to feel that five years of planning had their picture at the center of the drawing board.
