Editorial Review
The Aladdin hotel and casino was transformed into Planet Hollywood Resort Casino in 2000. The original Aladdin was imploded in 1998 and the later version is a complete reconstruction. The Aladdin, a truly unique casino, was designed based upon stories from Arabian Nights and, like the book, took visitors into another world of delights and splendor
The new Planet Hollywood, a Sheraton hotel, takes a different approach and offers "movie star hospitality" to guests. The renovated and rebranded casino was opened on April 17, 2007 offers many amenities, including of course a 100,000-square-foot casino spread out on several floors with more than 2,800 slot machines and 87 table games and also includes a poker room and 50-seat race and sports book.
Casino games include Blackjack, Roulette, Slots, Craps, Caribbean Stud Poker, Baccarat, Keno, Wheel of Fortune, Pai Gow, Let It Ride and more.
The Planet Hollywood mall – Miracle Mile Shops – has over 140 stores and a dozen restaurants. Also inside the mall is the V Theater, which offers variety shops and also the Steve Wyrick Entertainment complex and the Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood - one of the best concert venues in Las Vegas.
The hotel offers more than 2,500 rooms, two 4,500-square-foot pools, a 32,00-square-foot spa, a wedding chapel and a 75,000-square-foot convention space, including a 37,000-square-foot ballroom.
Planet Hollywood is right next to the Paris Las Vegas and not far from New York-New York and Monte Carlo resorts.

| The Aladdin casino is right in the middle of the strip which is very convenient. I myself loved the poker room but my wife seemed to enjoy the quiet and large room more. The casino is excellent, especially the poker and blackjack - very elegant. I didn't play the roulette because i have a weak heart... but the slots machines were really occupational therapy for me.
They have great buffets there, really top notch. The hotel itself is very pampering and the staff is what made this place stand up as one of the best hotels i've been in. While i play mostly online casino games and online poker, i can't help but thinking, after playing one of the best casinos in Vegas, that there's nothing like the real thing. I highly recommend Aladdin - great rooms, quality food and service and of course one of the best casinos in town. |
