Editorial Review

Fifty London, at 50 St. James Street, is one of the most elegant and luxurious casinos in London. The world famous establishment was opened in 1827 and designed by the famous fashionable architect Benjamin Wyatt. Today it has been renovated by one of the leading interior designers in the world, Jeffrey Beers.

Housed in a magnificent five-story townhouse with a sweeping, marble staircase, Fifty London offers a high-end gaming hall and also four floors of sophisticated, upscale bars and restaurants and Fifty Below - a club lounge.

The Fifty casino is one of the most famous and visually impressive gaming halls in the world. It has been the regular club and casino for many celebrities and politicians for over a century.

The highly detailed design of the casino is apparent when looking at the custom silk wall coverings, which are printed with large scale, silk-screened roses. The game tables and chairs are all custom built from mahogany wood and are super elegant.

The casino offers players the following table games:
  • 6 tables of Blackjack, bets range: £10 - £10,000
  • 9 tables of Roulette, bets range: £5 - £1,000
  • 3 tables of Punto Blanco, bets range: £25 - £25,000
  • 1 table of Casino Stud Poker, bets range: £25 ante - £2,000 ante

The casino hosts several high profile international events (Million Dollar Poker, for example) which attract the biggest stars of the poker world, such as Jennifer Harman, Phil Ivey, Allen Cunningham, Chris Ferguson, Eric Seidel and others.

Apart from the casino itself there are other attractions for gourmet and alcohol lovers. The famous chef, Jean-George Vongerichten, offers his unique gourmet dishes in his V restaurant while renowned bartender Signor Calabrese, pours his special cocktails and displays some of the world's finest cognacs from his collection.

Fifty is a members only club, which means you will have to become a member or be invited by someone who is already a member. Of course this just makes the place even more unique and prestigious. It is truly a club for the highest caliber of players.
