Governor of Poker Rules

Playing Governor of Poker is great for gaining some experience in playing poker. Knowing the value of poker hands will help you a lot to win a game.

Poker Hands

Here you can find a list of all possible poker hands that might appear in a poker game in order of value from lowest to highest:

  • High Card - (when no pair or higher are dealt)
  • Pair - (two cards of the same number)
  • 2 Pair - (two separate pairs of the same number in each pair)
  • 3 of a Kind - (three cards of the same number)
  • Straight - (a run of five cards with consecutive numbers that do not have to be the same suit)
  • Flush - (five cards of the same suit, but they do not have to be consecutive)
  • Full House - (three of a kind and one pair)
  • Four of a Kind - (four cards of the same number)
  • Straight Flush - (Same as a Straight, but all the cards have to be of the same suit)
  • Royal Flush (Same as a straight flush, but the run has to be 10 J Q K A of the same suit)
