Omaha (also known as Omaha Hi or Omaha Hi/Lo) and Texas Hold'em, have a lot in common. The rules of Omaha are just a little bit different than those of Texas Hold'em.
Omaha is played in two popular variations: Omaha Hi (or Omaha eight-or-better) and Omaha Hi-Lo. The main difference between the two is that in Omaha Hi, the player with the highest ranking hand wins and in Omaha Hi-Lo the player with the highest and lowest ranking hand wins.
Basic Omaha High StrategyOmaha is the most popular form of poker in Europe although No Limit is quickly gaining ground. In the U.S. No Limit is king. However, if you can sharpen your Omaha skills you are likely to fatten up your bankroll in very short order.
