Seven Card Stud may have lost some of its popularity and isn't considered to be the favored poker game among players today, but before the rise of Texas Holdem to world prominence it was the most popular poker variant in the United States.
As a community card game, Seven Card Stud resembles Texas Holdem but is nonetheless different, mainly due to the fact that players not only receive face-down cards ("hole" or "pocket" cards) but also face-up cards.
This game, while easy to learn and play, offers its players never ending challenges and requires a lifetime to master.
