The World Series of Poker 2006 had 8,773 competitors with over 85 million dollars in cash prizes. It ended with Jamie gold, an unknown TV producer from Los Angeles, winning an amazing $12 million first place prize, the biggest prize in the history of the tournament.
This year the tournament will be bigger, better, with bigger prizes and more players attending.
The 38th WSOP, the world's most prestigious poker tournament, is set for June 1 through July 17, 2007, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
How to qualify to the main event?
1. You can qualify to the main event of the World Series of Poker 2007 by paying the $10,000 buy-in fee (remember that the first prize is more than $10 million), which will guarantee you a seat at the main event. In order to enter the main event pre-register to the main event at least two weeks in advance, or register at the main event itself at the Rio Casino.

2. You can save your $10,000 and qualify for the main event through winning one of the many WSOP satellite tournaments that are held in land-based casinos as well as online casinos. Winning a satellite provides you with the $10,000 buy-in to the final event.
888.com Pacific Poker – WSOP qualifiers are held every Last Friday of each month at 16:05 PPT (Pacific Poker Time). You can enter the qualifier for as low as $2 or you can jump straight to the $125 + $10 buy-in. Winners receive Buy-in & travel expenses to the 2007 WSOP, worth $12,500.
Partypoker.com – Party Poker is running WSOP 2007 qualifiers every day, 24 hours a day. Qualifiers start as low as $3 and offer a chance to win the $10,000 buy-in and $1,000 spending money.
Pokerroom.com – Poker Room offers a hefty $15,500 package to the 2007 WSOP, which includes a stay at Caesar's Palace, $500 spending money and of course, a seat at the main event. To qualify you can go straight for the $650+50 Poker Room Final or start as low as $1+0.20.
Pokerstars.com - In 2006, three of the nine final table players got to the WSOP through PokerStars satellites. This year, Poker Stars offers the $10,000 entry to the WSOP, $1000 spending money and an additional $1,000 or hotel expenses. Entry to the qualifiers starts at $2.
Titanpoker.com – Titan is awarding a $14,000 WSOP Package (including Main Event buy-in, flights and accommodations) for players who win its following satellites:

The Direct buy-in is $350 + $25 but seats to the daily Multi-Table Qualifiers, are available for as low as $1.50 + $0.20.
