Video Poker Winning Hands

Royal Flush
The strongest hand of the Video Poker game. This hand comprises of an Ace, King, Queen, jack, and 10 of the same suit.
Straight Flush
This is a hand with five chronological cards of the same suit.
Four of a Kind
A hand showing four cards of the same value.
Full House
The five card hand shows a three of a kind and a pair. The hand with the higher valued three of a kind, wins in the event of a tie. If both players have the same three of a kind then the player with the highest pair wins.
Flush
A hand showing five cards of the same suit. If two players have the same hand the winner is the player holding the highest valued cards.
Straight
Five cards of any suit in rising order. The ace can be either high or low (1 value) and the high straight wins the tie.
Three of a kind
A hand showing any three cards of the same rank.
Two pair
Having two sets of pairs. The player holding the highest pair takes the pot in the event that more than one player is holding two pairs. If two players are both holding the same two pairs then the player with the highest fifth card (also called ‘the kicker’) takes the pot. If the highest fifth card is on the board then the pot is split.
One Pair
Two cards of the same rank.
High Card
In the event that the hand shows none of the above conditions, the highest card takes all-represents the hand.
